PHS Lift's Minimum Advertised Price ("MAP") policy applies to the advertising of authorized Noblelift material handling products. It does not restrict your final selling price — only the price at which products may be publicly advertised.
The short version: You can sell at any price you want. You just can't publicly advertise below the MAP. Quoted prices, in-cart prices, and Add-to-Cart promotional pricing are excluded.
1. Scope
This MAP policy applies to:
- All advertising visible to the general public (websites, email blasts, print, TV, radio, social media, paid search, marketplaces)
- All authorized PHS Lift channel partners, resellers, and affiliate marketers
- All Noblelift equipment sold through PHS Lift, including forklifts, pallet jacks, stackers, aerial lifts, narrow aisle, tuggers, lift tables, and ancillary equipment
It does not apply to:
- The final transaction price negotiated privately with a customer
- Prices shown only after a user adds an item to cart or requests a quote
- "Click for price" or "Call for pricing" listings
- Used, refurbished, demo, or floor-model equipment
- Bundled package pricing (where the bundle is the SKU, not the individual unit)
2. MAP Rules
- Advertised prices must be at or above the MAP set by Noblelift / PHS Lift for the specific SKU
- "Save $X" or "X% off" claims cannot result in an advertised price below MAP
- Coupon codes that reveal below-MAP pricing before adding to cart are prohibited
- Manufacturer rebates may be advertised but cannot be combined with promotional pricing in a way that displays a below-MAP figure
- "Lowest price guarantee" or price-match advertising is permitted only when the matched price respects MAP
3. Permitted Exceptions
The following are allowed at any time, even if they result in below-MAP transaction prices:
- Phone or written quotes provided directly to a customer
- "In-cart" pricing — the price revealed only after the customer clicks Add to Cart
- Volume / fleet discounts negotiated with B2B customers
- Demonstration units, dock-damaged units, and end-of-life inventory clearly identified as such
- Authorized Noblelift national promotions (announced in writing by the manufacturer)
- Trade-in / package deals where the trade or bundle structure justifies the differential
4. Enforcement
Violations of this MAP policy are taken seriously and may result in:
- First violation: Written notice with 5 business days to cure
- Second violation: 30-day suspension of marketing co-op funds and volume rebates
- Third violation: Suspension of authorized dealer/reseller status
- Continued violations: Termination of supplier relationship
This MAP policy is unilateral. PHS Lift will not enter into agreements about your resale prices or negotiate pricing exceptions. Compliance is at the sole discretion of the channel partner.
5. Online Channels
Special considerations apply to common online channels:
- Amazon / eBay / marketplaces: Listed prices must respect MAP. Marketplace promotional tools that auto-discount listed prices may not be used in a way that violates MAP.
- Paid search ads: Ad copy may not display below-MAP pricing. Landing pages must comply.
- Email marketing: Subject lines and visible body text are considered advertising.
- Social media: Posts, stories, ads, and influencer content must respect MAP.
6. Reporting Violations
If you observe a MAP violation, email [email protected] with:
- URL or screenshot of the violating advertisement
- Date and time observed
- SKU or product identification
- Channel partner name (if known)
All reports are investigated. Reporters' identities are kept confidential.
